Mon Ami™ can act as a support tool in the fight to remain healthy, in particular allowing for timely medication reminders. Safety is another critical aspect for all the individuals whose needs are being addressed in this website.

Mon Ami™ can assist with health and safety issues by:

• Reminding the person to take their medication at the correct time
• Reminding the person about important health-related events (medical appointments) and activities (using the bathroom)
• Suggesting a time for daily exercising or getting outside to go for a walk or do some gardening
• Reminding the person about regular mealtimes to encourage healthy eating habits
• Sending email to the Caregiver and other designated individuals to report that the user has failed to respond when requested to do so (for medication intake purposes or other agreed-upon situations)
• Monitoring daily activities of the user anonymously and reporting back to the Caregiver
• Providing the Caregiver with the ability to remotely manipulate devices that are controlled by Mon Ami™ (for example, turning off fans, lights etc.)
• Providing the Caregiver with the ability to monitor the home environment remotely (including receiving video feed if permitted by the Mon Ami™ user)
• Monitoring the location of the user in the house
• Creating a standalone or linked home security system
• Passive Fall detection
